Experience of Buying and Selling Cars in the US

Last night, for some reason, I remembered various interesting experiences related to cars in the US and decided to write them down.

In the US, cars are essential for daily life. If they had expensive inspections like in Japan, everyone's life would stop. The regulations for maintenance are lax, and many old cars are on the road. Once on the highway, I saw a classic Beetle driving with its rear engine engulfed in flames. It was like Mad Max, the end of the century, lol.

By the way, people who use public transportation like buses are only those who don't have money, so there's vomit and syringes commonly found inside the vehicles. I really didn't want to ride them lol lol

That's why car-related matters are incredibly interesting. I've personally experienced private sales many times and encountered amusing incidents each time.

Well, to sum it up, many people selling cars were "total liars" or "total exaggerators." lol lol.

"This car is great, it definitely gets 15km per liter!"
"You're lying! lol!" I know the fuel economy. You're going to fall over.

It's also interesting to talk about car buying and selling negotiations by ethnicity, like Arabs and Jews. They are very good at business. (This means buyers should be careful. They are also good at haggling when selling, it's really educational.)

Seriously, if you don't do your own research and preparation at your own risk, you'll end up in a terrible situation.

One time, I had no money and no car, and I was thinking, "What should I do?!" So I started looking for a car. I thought a truck would be good! The reason is that trucks don't have much electrical equipment other than the engine, so there are fewer parts that can break. I decided to go with this idea! Then I found one. A Datsun truck, 5-speed manual, according to the dealer's ad, for $1100. I decided on this one.

And on the way back, I realized on the highway. 5th gear won't engage, or rather, there is no 5th gear!? Yes, it was a 4-speed car! Hahaha. I messed up.

I called the dealer, but they gave me a strange answer and ended it with, "I see! As you say, if it was a 4-speed, then that car is a 4-speed."

I still have more stories, so I might write more next time (to be continued)
