Wall Update

Updated the gym wall for Rikkyo University's American Football team.

Of the three walls, one was made into a wall where this year's slogan, the names of the fourth-year students, and their thoughts could be written.

Watching them write on that wall made me think. (This wasn't intentional beforehand.) Students today probably don't, and can't, write their names on school equipment and facilities anymore. Back in the day, someone's name was always written on lockers, club rooms, or desks; it was just an everyday occurrence. It might sound awful, but the privatization of public property? Lol, it existed quite casually.

I thought, though, that maybe it wasn't all bad.

Now, this might be a bit of a leap, but could tagging your own name foster an awareness of the connection to making it your own? That's what I found myself thinking. If so, that would be great. Instead of treating things as someone else's problem or just ending with gratitude for what was given, I want them to realize they chose it themselves, grabbed it, and are working on it—making it their own, taking care of what belongs to them... The privatization of public property? Lol, isn't that kind of feeling nice too? That's what I hope. And if their own choices, spontaneous awareness, and actions align, their play on the field will surely evolve too, probably (who knows, haha).

Well, I don't know. Things that are planned rarely go as intended. lol. Support is just support. However, I hope it helps their activities. GO RUSHERS!
