Everything is an illusion. If I can get into this school? If I can work at this company? If I come to this country? I'll be free, someone whispers in my ear. At that moment, without realizing it, humans sign a 'contract of unfreedom' within the 'concept of freedom' that has been given to them. The freedom that is given is 'adjusted freedom' based on the vested interests of the person who gave it. (PS. Examinees, students about to enter the workforce, think carefully!)   
  
For example, did I become free by going to America? No. Freedom is not America; it's all about your own will and actions.

So, what should we do then! How about thinking like this? First, stop categorizing things as free or unfree. Stop thinking, 'I'm unfree because I don't have this,' or 'I'd be free if I had that.' Since there's true freedom anyway.

Instead, let's think, aren't we all somewhat free? And then! Let's deeply, deeply explore what freedom means to us. That's the key.

That's right! There's true freedom, but let's think about it! If we consider the degree and type of freedom, we are all somewhat free. Do you understand this difference?!

For example. Imagine a homeless person who, struggling to make ends meet, intentionally commits a crime to go to prison. They are acting with an understanding of their degree and type of freedom, and I find that admirable.

There was a time when I was under the illusion that I could be free if I had this or that. That way of thinking didn't work for me. I was just running after carrots I couldn't eat. I didn't become free.   
  
Instead, I am grateful for my freedom every day. And I'm realizing that if you face your freedom and live your life, the freedom you have now will bring about various new freedoms.
