...Drugs? Crime? Scary, isn't it. The street price is how much? Scary. The yakuza connection? If you get caught, your life is ruined, isn't it. A street check? Scary.

Of course, I live in Japan now, so I don't do it.

But you know, if your company suddenly starts drug testing for marijuana tomorrow without warning... Just the seeds in 'Shichimi' (seven-spice blend) will react. In Japan right now, maybe just eating 'Shichimi' with soba or udon could ruin your life. If you're against marijuana! and claim to be, but love udon and soba, you might be out because of Shichimi. Then would you shout? 'I didn't do it!' It's too late, it's meaningless. And besides! The government doesn't really understand many things either. But the government, for now, lumps it all together as 'scary, dangerous'.

(There was an incident at some railway company where a misdiagnosis of test results ruined people's lives. Scary, more than drugs.)

In the continental US and Hawaii where I lived, I could legally get a prescription from a doctor and use it (at the time). Is it legal now? And everyone used it as a normal, everyday thing. People on the street didn't care, like 'So what?'. My neighbors also smoked it normally, but they used a device called a 'vaporizer' which steams it, so there were issues with smell to those around.

After it became legal, street safety actually improved. There are more disputes on the street over 'Dank' (a mixture). Moreover, the US government's tax revenue has officially increased.

That's all well and good, but I think! Japan's biggest benefit! If cannabis were okay, the 'Jumpers' on the Monday train would definitely decrease (sorry, this is subjective). But I hear it's actually effective for suicide (and depression). Excessive alcohol consumption is addictive and bad for the liver and health. Depression and alcohol are like a comedy duo, leading to very different and severe illnesses.

But cannabis...! Hmm, this... well, if you're interested, please research it yourselves. I won't say anything more.

It's difficult. All I can say is that Japan, especially, takes time. Well, those who see the necessity should establish remote work and XXX quickly.
