Rejected projects? There are mountains of designs, art, and businesses.

They say failure is the stepping stone to success, but I'm going to share my own translation and interpretation of this. It's not that I'm intentionally trying to think positively, it's simply a matter of mathematics. A discussion of probability.

Generally speaking, if something works out with a probability of '1 in 10,000' rather than '1 in 10,' the precision and quality of that '1' are probabilistically higher. Therefore, for creative works like art and design, especially, the larger the denominator of failures, the higher the quality of the work when successful.

However, interestingly, once you cross a certain threshold (in terms of time or experience), you start getting high-quality successes even with a smaller denominator (and 'success' here means 'something that feels right to me'). So, although it's incredibly abstract and qualitative, I'm realizing through experience that 'patience, practice, and perseverance are really the only way.'

So, with that in mind, I'll share the concept behind these discarded interior design and wallpaper works:

"People gathering on the wall. People facing the wall. A wall that reflects people meeting without hierarchy or preconceptions.

Wallpaper that creates unexplored sociality. Rain falls horizontally, and ripples spread across the heavens and earth. Diverse individuals are likened to wave sources, and the sociality they weave is expressed based on the principle of wave interference. The smallest unit is a simple circle, but as it grows, the resulting social patterns are diverse. We also modularized the square frame as a unit. The four sides have symmetry and can be rotated and combined in four directions. However, the collection of circles inside is asymmetrical, creating an irregular harmony when viewed as a whole."

And yet, it was discarded... When that happens, I always tell myself, 'Fuck it, NEXT, baby!!'
