# Sliding Doorー中卒への挑戦 **Source:** https://taksanart.com/en/sliding-doorー中卒への挑戦 **Language:** English --- ※Sliding door (turning point in life): seemingly inconsequential moments that alter the trajectory of future events. Looking back now, studying abroad, which I decided to do myself, was fun and I worked incredibly hard, but I feel that the education I received in Japan, up to junior high school, was sufficient. That's probably why, at the time, my 14-year-old self had a growing desire to So, like any other 14-year-old junior high student, I talked back to the teacher. The epitome of adolescence! Lol. "Japanese law states that junior high is compulsory education, so why are you forcing us to go to high school?" I suddenly opened the sliding doors (perhaps they were life's SLIDING DOORS!?) of the room where the teachers gathered, barged in, and loudly asked my question... Lol. Maybe there was answer, or maybe I don't remember. However, I... I must have closed that SLIDING DOOR!!! Lol. I went with the flow of the river and went to high school anyway. Lol. Oh right, the main topic for today is! "Parallel Worlds." Ever since I learned this word, I've been reminded of my 14-year-old struggles, and at the same time, I strangely realized a new emotion: "Huh? Well, I don't regret the choice I made at that 14-year-old SLIDING DOOR." Strange, isn't it? And conversely, I start to have fun. I imagine. At this current moment, I imagine the 14-year-old me in a parallel world preparing to live alone. That's right, in "that" world, the timeline might even be distorted, so who knows how old I am at what age, it's all scattered, infinite, and random. I know! You're probably "West side." Originally, Grandpa's family was in Kokura, Kitakyushu, relatives were in Kansai and Nagoya. For some reason, I feel good when I visit the west since I was little. It's the west, it's Pet Shop Boys "GO WEST!" In a parallel world, what kind of challenges would I be undertaking by now, speaking in some dialect? A fisherman? Or a comedian?! I don't know if I could have made it, but I would have tried, I would have challenged myself lol And you know, maybe, whether I graduated from junior high school, became an artist overseas, or went through other twists and turns, in the end, at 50 years old, I might be sitting at the same table and chair, writing this blog on the same computer (from the opposite perspective) at night, in front of my own family, feeling different memories with the same quality of emotion, even if the circumstances are different. It's really interesting. Good luck! Me over there, me in a parallel world! I'll continue my youth here at 50!
