Let’s be autonomous! / 自律しようぜぇ

"Autonomy"... To regulate one's actions correctly according to the rules one has set, without being dominated or assisted by others.

Some might fear that saying this promotes "division." But then, what is "diversity"? I wonder. It doesn't add up. --- As a side note, when I used to drive in Mexico, it was like there were no traffic rules. They didn't even stick to lanes. Everyone did as they pleased individually. But you know, there was "harmony" there. Even without objective rules, humans naturally create harmony with others within safety. There are countless things like this in the world. ¡ORALE!

Isn't it the fault of Japanese education that it imposes, with just one drawer, that "those who don't follow the rules are bad"? We must all unite and cheer them on! Otherwise, the country won't succeed! They think this is natural and try to polish away the sharp edges of individuality until they're perfectly smooth. Shouldn't we first exchange opinions on why these rules are necessary?

Well, I've gone off on a tangent, but yes, about "autonomy."

Since childhood, I haven't trusted politicians, teachers, parents... adults. I still don't. There are various reasons.

So, from my perspective, I notice adults who worship politicians, teachers, etc., both domestically and internationally. Well, it's fine for there to be all sorts of people. In politics, regardless of ruling or opposition parties, it's a collection of greedy individuals. They don't even do their own jobs properly. They just make weak excuses. Why can people be so naive (insensitive) about that... I can't understand. Well, it can't be helped. There are all sorts of people.

In a democratic system, I believe one should first thoroughly consider and engage with what they want to do, how they want to live, and where they want to live. Then, based on that, they should choose a 'tool' that would minimize the friction and obstacles to achieving those desires. There might be cases where no such tool exists. (I am not an anarchist. We don't live alone in this world, so there are always adjustments with others and compromises with society. I don't have the mindset of not cooperating with society. I participate in my own way. So, I want to think about my own way of participating.)

Democracy is a tool, Period. If you have time to worship politicians or get worked up about such things, you'd be better off going on a journey to find enjoyable things.
