If you spend your days dwelling on difficult things, things that were difficult, you might be told by acquaintances and friends to 'forget about it!', but the person themselves usually thinks, 'I know best that I should do that...' and new stress is born.
If I, too, were to stand on the main stage by drawing, the doors would open, and unpleasant people would flock in like cockroaches. Then they would rustle around, saying a lot of nonsensical unpleasant things. Just like everyone else, I have various things going on in my private life.
So, what do I do? I think about:
1) Can I ignore it? OR 2) Can I accept it in a good way? OR 3) I won't stop thinking, but I'll change my way of thinking. And so on... Oh, right, I'm the type who thinks a lot, anyway...
What I mean by 2) is to accept that life is tough. When things are tough, there's no need to be a 'victim' by asking 'Why me?'. Life is tough. It comes with the package. That's why we all try to enjoy it by thinking... (Thinking, thinking, thinking! So much thinking!)
3) means not stopping thinking. Overthinking isn't the problem. If there's a problem, it's the content and method of your thinking. 'Man is a thinking reed,' right? That's what thinking is all about. That's why it's important to have the right way of thinking and purpose when you think.
You just need to think until you can confirm how much dwelling on something you can't let go of or past events doesn't benefit your present self. Then, one day, with a little 'poof' like a fart, you'll see a white world beyond it, and yourself focused on the present.
So, what I want to say most is to cherish your present self.
My cells have been replaced, and a different self is here now. The idea that 'you were like this in the past' or 'you've always been like this' being said by others or by yourself is scientifically and physically nonsensical.
Furthermore, though it may crush the hope of tomorrow, tomorrow will never truly come into your hands, nor can you feel it. When tomorrow arrives, it becomes today. It's a swap. It's tough to run towards the unknown 'tomorrow' feeling hope (postponing your present self), like chasing a carrot you can't eat. Instead, try 'cherishing your present self and feeling the wind you feel right now.'
It's better to cherish your present self. 'Hey, you're doing pretty well!'... Because, you know, there are all sorts of things in the world. And you're doing well amidst it all, which is quite something!
